Thank you for the shout out for TSF! I'm one of the devs, and we are always happy to see critical and granular reviews.

Since you talked about the pricing of SEO plugins a fair bit, I just want to clarify a bit. We priced TSF premium sanely to make a living and we had to include 3rd. party API costs (they are not insignificant). If you look at our support forums, we spend hours answering support queries in detail, often going beyond the question. This is absolutely insane cost.

Undercutting prices and offering unlimited licences per flat fee is an unstable business model, but it seems to work on a big chunk of users. It is a valid marketing strategy, although bit shady and may lead to bait-and-switch. And you also get what you paid for, the code quality of some cheap plugins is subpar... but users can't evaluate that, so people who are primarily after money rather focus on bloating the plugin with features to appear better. And it works.

Our main goal is to be straight with people and fair. We do not want to pull any shenanigans down the road. We believe our price is fair and it also reflects in code quality. A big chunk of money is going towards free plugin development itself. Last week we released The SEO Framework 4.0 making it the undisputably fastest SEO plugin on both frontend and backend. We just optimized every file, function and geared towards HTTP2 and PHP 7. We also focus on accessibility, stuff that does not really sell. We wrote more about the process on our blog if you do have time check it out.

We now consider TSF complete (base plugin). It is the only white-hat SEO plugin strictly following search engine and WordPress guidelines. Anyway, enough with self-promotion.

I will give you some never shared tidbit about us and our future. Since the fight for the end-user is relentless and flawed as I described above, we are going to focus on SEO professionals, like yourself. The base plugin is enough for everyday Joe, but we want to make our premium extensions desired.

If you have a specific wish for SEO plugin, please tell me. You can reply here, or reach me everywhere as @lebaux, ideally, twitter or gmail. I am also available to talk if that is your preference. Or just use our contact form. My goal is to be partners to our users. While other companies focus on automating everything and writing chatbots, I want to be available.

Last 2 years we found many free users who love us, but now we need to focus on money. It is not greed, it is just the very nature of existing on the planet Earth is expensive.

Thank you again for the positive mention and I hope my comment brought some clarity!

Have a nice day, Pierre.

Hey Badr -

Everyone does have their personal preferences and like certain plugins more than others. However, we don't advise that you follow the suggestions that any of these SEO plugins give you in relation to your content or page structure - Yoast, Rank Math, or any of the others. They aren't any good, so we recommend <a href="https://sirlinksalot.co/on-page-seo-guide/">learning on-page SEO</a> yourself - you'll get much better results and it's easy.

What settings are you talking about with the paid version of Yoast? The most important part of these plugins is the ability to quickly and easily edit your URLs/titles/metas and add XML sitemaps, which every one of these plugins does for free. 95% of people do not need any of the paid options for any of these plugins, Yoast included.

Hey Ali -

That's correct. Depending on which footprint you're using, you will either be able to find information on the page/site about guest posting, submit a guest post yourself, or at least know that they are accepting guest posting so that you can email them about it.

If you need to send them an email, you can read our advice and examples of <a href="https://sirlinksalot.co/seo-cold-email-templates-clients-guest-posting-backlinks/">cold outreach emails for guest posting</a>.

I tested Both plugins and i can see Rank math is easy to setup, make things easy to newbie, by how quickly setup his own blog.

In the other hand what i don’t like in Yoast every time i open my dashboard there is an update for it and even and there is no a complete documentation for it.

If you want a good setting you need to buy their service. and even i think yoast developer’s they don’t understand how google work by using the old method by focus on meta (title + description and focus keyword). and keyword ratio.

Now we need something follow google update and advice us how we can setting a good article or page structure and gain google trust.

This is just my view about the both plugins

Regards

Hey Christian -

Here is one <a href="https://www.reddit.com/r/Wordpress/comments/az39r4/have_you_used_free_rank_math_seo_plugin_from/" rel="nofollow">reddit thread</a> about it. I encourage people to do their own research, though. There's also been a good amount of chatter in the Facebook groups lately regarding it still being really buggy as well.

We've had problems with Yoast too, but nothing major and not enough for us to make the switch. We're just too used to it - it's not that we really think it's better than the rest. If I had to go with one of the others it would probably be either All-In-One SEO (large amount of active installs so they should be on top of updates) or SEO Framework (fan of it's light-weight, minimalistic approach).

Hope this helps!

Great review Chris and interesting you mention the rumors about Rank Math' tactics. Do you maybe have some links to reddit about that topic?

Totally agree about the fact that a tool will not directly help your SEO. I've encounterd some prblems with Yoast. Which plugin would you recommend to test it out as a possible replacement?
