[3:58] How many links does it take to get a DR of 30?

It’s not necessarily the number of backlinks that matters, so much as their quality. There isn’t a strong correlation between a site’s quantity of referring domains and its Domain Rating. You can see this for yourself by using SERP analysis plugins such as MozBar or Ahrefs that give you a “domain quality” metric for each search result. 

You can then crosscheck the score (MozBar uses DA) with a backlinks checker like Ahrefs. There are sites with less than 20 DR (and thousands of referring domains) and others with around 30 DR (and just a few hundred backlinks).

[11:50] Are unlinked brand mentions good for SEO?

Yes, unlinked brand mentions can be beneficial by building relevance for your brand. But they won’t be impactful in the same way that external link building or optimized content helps with SEO. Unlinked brand mentions aren’t going to push your rankings or anything like that.

[17:50] Can I use H1 tags multiple times in an article?

Yes. However, we don’t consider it a best practice and wouldn’t advise it. We like to structure our articles in such a way that H1 tags are used to tell Google what an entire piece of content is about. That’s why we only use one H1 tag per article. [22:20] What do you check to see if a backlink has been indexed and how long does it take tools such as Ahrefs, SEMRush, and Google Search Console to find a backlink?

Chris:

I used to be really concerned when I wasn’t seeing my backlinks show up in Ahrefs. But I learned to be patient, and now I only check to see if my articles are live and indexed. I know that my backlinks will eventually show up on all the major platforms if the linking site / content is indexed (unless it’s a pillow link). That being said, Google is the most important entity you want indexing your backlinks.

[28:22] As a beginner, can I use new domains for a PBN setup?

Since you’re a beginner, we wouldn’t advise you to start dealing with PBN links either to send them to a new domain (no history) or receive them from a newly built PBN (expensive and complicated). Please check out this video tutorial on building backlinks to a new site.

[36:50] How do you switch a WordPress site over to a new host?

Nick:

My favorite way to migrate a WordPress site is to use a simple plug-in called All-In-One WP Migration. You would use it to download your current site as backup. Then you would install the plugin on the new host and upload the backup. And then update the nameservers.

[42:23] How long should you wait between adding PBN links to a money site?

The more time in between adding PBN links, the better it looks in terms of naturalness. We always stagger out the PBN links (i.e. dripping them). There are no rules. If you’re dealing with a handful of PBN links, you can add 1 or 2 PBN links one day and drip the other 3 links over the next 3 to 5 days.

In other words, spread the batch of PBN links out evenly over a longer time if you don’t feel comfortable front loading them in an unnatural way.
